New Testament Bible Lesson Thirty-Four: The Christian Church Scattered

The Lord has used persecution to spread the gospel message throughout Judea and even Samaria. Philip, one of the deacons, went to the city of Samaria, where the Lord blessed the preaching and many were baptized.

But God also had other work for Philip and called him to go on a desert road where he would meet an Ethiopian Eunuch. He was given to explain the scriptures to the Eunuch and to baptize him.

As Saul continued to persecute the church and was traveling to Damascus, it was God’s time to powerfully convert Saul. God’s counsel will stand and Paul would become an important missionary.
